Typical Maintenance Program

• April-Spring clean up, trim down any remaining ornamental grasses, edge and weed all beds, treat all beds with weed preventative, fertilize all ornamental trees and/or shrubs, mulch all beds. Lime and spring fertilizer for lawn. Gutter Cleaning. Remove any burlap from shrubs. Spring turn on for irrigation system. Mowing to begin approximately 4/15.
  
  
• May-Typically complete any necessary annual plantings by end of May-sometimes later dependant on availability/weather. Maintain weeds in beds and driveway as necessary, weekly lawn mowing. First application Crabgrass control w/fertilizer. Post emergent weed spraying if necessary. Maintain driveway stones as necessary.
  
  
• June-Privet trimming, shrub trimming, maintain weeds in beds and driveway as necessary, weekly lawn mowing. Second application Crabgrass control. Application of grub control w/fertilizer. Check through irrigation system and adjust as necessary. Post emergent weed spraying if necessary. Maintain driveway stones as necessary.
  
  
• July-Maintain weeds in beds and driveway as necessary, weekly lawn mowing. Post emergent crabgrass spraying if necessary. Check through irrigation system and adjust as necessary. Maintain driveway stones as necessary.
  
  
• August-Maintain weeds in beds and driveway as necessary, weekly lawn mowing. Application of late summer fertilizer. Check through irrigation system and adjust as necessary. Maintain driveway stones as necessary.
  
  
• September-Maintain weeds in beds and driveway as necessary, weekly lawn mowing. Second trimming of privet hedges. Trim shrubs again if necessary. Lawn aeration and over seeding. Maintain driveway stones as necessary.
  
  
• October-Maintain weeds in beds and driveway as necessary, weekly lawn mowing. Application of Fall fertilizer.
  
  
• November-Maintain weeds in beds and driveway as necessary, weekly lawn mowing to cease in mid November. Fall turn off for irrigation system.
  
  
• December-Fall clean up to be completed between 11/20-12/20. Clean up entire property of leaves or debris, winterize any pots or perennials, remove annuals, minor pruning if necessary, wrapping of any trees/shrubs for deer or winter protection, etc.
